FLOORING
Engineered and solid hardwood, installed over plywood or concrete once the moisture reading says it is ready. Racked so the seams read as pattern rather than accident.

WHAT'S INCLUDED
Everything in one quote, with options to choose from.
Moisture reading on the slab or subfloor, recorded before material is ordered
Every box checked on delivery, batch numbers matched, and the wood acclimated for the manufacturer's specified period
Nail-down, glue-down or floating, chosen for the substrate rather than habit
Plank racked from several boxes at once for a genuinely random stagger
Door jambs undercut, never scribed around
Transitions, thresholds, and baseboard or shoe
Full protection, daily cleanup and haul-away
HOW WE FINISH IT
Engineered is not the compromise people think it is.
Solid hardwood is one piece of wood, and it moves with humidity. Over a slab, in a basement or above radiant heat, that movement is exactly what you do not want. It cups, gaps and shows every seasonal swing.
Engineered is a real hardwood wear layer over a dimensionally stable core. The surface you walk on and see is the same wood; it just stays flat where solid would not. In the right room it is not the budget option, it is the correct one.
We rack from three or four boxes at once. Installers who work box by box leave visible repeats and color banding, and you cannot unsee it once you have noticed it. The expansion gap at every wall is hidden by trim, never by filler.
WHAT IT COSTS
Hardwood usually sits in the Transform band.
Species, plank width and the substrate are what move it. Glue-down over a slab costs more than nail-down over plywood.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Before you call.
Engineered, glued down, yes, as long as the slab's moisture reading comes back within the manufacturer's spec. Solid hardwood below grade is asking for trouble, and we will tell you so.
Often, with engineered glue-down, if the tile is sound, well bonded and flat. We have done exactly this with about 650 square feet of white oak in Oreland. It saves the demolition and the mess.
Yes. When it arrives we check every box and batch number, then let it acclimate for the period the manufacturer specifies before a board goes down. Rushing that step is how floors gap or cup in their first winter.
Usually seven to ten percent over the measured area, more for a diagonal layout. We build it into the proposal so nobody runs short mid-install, and leftover boxes are labeled and left with you.
Every job is run by one project manager, installed by one crew, so no down time between trades, no surprise change orders without notice, no cleanup left for you.
