WALLS
Grasscloth, murals, patterned and peel-and-stick papers, hung over walls that were skim-coated, sanded and primed first. That prep is the reason it still looks right in five years.

WHAT'S INCLUDED
Everything in one quote, with options to choose from.
Wall condition assessed and yardage calculated against your pattern repeat before anything is ordered
Existing paper stripped, adhesive residue washed off, wall made good
Walls skim-coated and sanded smooth
Sealed with a wallpaper-specific primer, not standard wall primer
Plumb line established, drops hung and pattern matched at every seam
Every joint filled, caulked and sanded flat
Outlets and switches cut clean and plates set square
Seams rolled flat with no lifted edges, corners wrapped, trimmed and cleaned
HOW WE FINISH IT
Very few people still hang paper properly.
Wallpaper came back and the installers did not come back with it. Most homeowners calling around for a paperhanger get a painter who will give it a try, which is why so much of it lifts at the seams within a year.
Paper shows everything underneath it. A wall that looked fine under flat paint will show every roller ridge, patch edge and nail pop once paper goes over it. So the wall is skim-coated and primed before a drop is hung.
Then it is corners and edges. Corners in a house are never plumb, so paper has to be cut and wrapped to hide that rather than reveal it, and it ends on a planned line at the ceiling and trim, not wherever the roll ran out. It is slow work, and completely visible when it is done badly.
WHAT IT COSTS
A single feature wall sits in Refresh. A full room sits in Transform.
The prep drives the price more than the paper does. Stripping old paper and skim-coating a textured wall is most of the labor on a wallpaper job.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Before you call.
More than the wall area. The pattern repeat drives waste, and a large repeat can add 25 percent or more. We calculate the yardage before anything is ordered.
We supply the materials on every job, wallpaper included, because if something is wrong with material we bought, we can make it right. If you have already found a paper you love, bring the name or a sample to the consultation and we will quote it.
Not directly. Texture reads straight through. The wall is skim-coated flat and sanded first, which we quote as part of the job.
From a properly primed, well-painted wall, generally yes. From bare drywall or fresh paint it will take the surface with it. The primer step is what makes the promise true.
Every job is run by one project manager, installed by one crew, so no down time between trades, no surprise change orders without notice, no cleanup left for you.
